Textiles Cataloguer

Reports to Collections lead.

> Working to document, at object level, textiles (clothes and shoes) collections in THM ‘Queue’ and wider textiles collections backlog.

> Conducts general ‘ad hoc’ research among THM’s textile collections in response to specific projects (e.g. an exhibition) or resulting from enquiries.

> Strong inter-personal and intra-personal skills.

> Enthusiasm for research.

> Thorough, methodical and patient approach.

> Attention to detail.

> Time management skills.

> Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to procedures.

> Extract and condense information.


> Patience and attention to detail.

> Demonstrable IT literacy, some familiarity with Microsoft Excel in particular.

> Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to procedures.

> Good general health (can lift/handle items in the collection).

> Knowledge about textiles / sportswear would be an added advantage.
