Multiple roles, but all need community-minded individuals who will be proactive in the maintenance and development of the Arbor Centre in Pyrford, which is run primarily for the benefit of the uniformed organisations (Scouts & Guides, and their feeder organisations, Cubs & Brownies, etc.) based there. The Arbor provides recreational activities for all generations in the local community, from toddler and play groups, through after-school activities, to sports and fitness activities for children and adults, as well as retired members of our community. We need to raise the standard of decoration of the hall and we are therefore seeking funds from a number of sources (Woking Borough and Surrey County Councils, local businesses with community support obligations and local tradesmen and women), and need help to research this. The PGSPA Committee has vacancies for Trustees, a Finance Administrator, Database and Website Administrator, Fundraising, Internal and External Maintenance, Chairperson, and External Liaison Officer.
Community-minded individuals, who would be interested in helping the PGSPA to develop the Arbor Centre, and/or who would be willing to act as trustees. The uniformed groups are always looking for replacement or additional Leaders, or extra regular help.
As there are multiple roles on offer, some expertise in building development and management, or fund-raising, or marketing would be valuable, as would some legal background, but a willingness to pitch in and share ideas, and share the work around is most important.
