Curatorial Admin Support

The Hockey Museum needs a person to support the curatorial team in the administration work.  The role requires the person to:

  • use a word processing package such as Microsoft Word

  • deal with email enquiries, using an email system (e.g. Microsoft Outlook)

  • photocopy/print various documents, sometimes on behalf of other colleagues

  • organise and store paperwork, documents and computer-based information

  • create and maintain filing and other office systems

  • keep diaries and arrange appointments

  • schedule and attend meetings, create agendas and take minutes

  • liaise with staff, volunteers and with external contacts


  • Patience and attention to detail.

  • Organisational and administrative skills – filing, document management, maintaining records.

  • Willingness to learn new skills and adhere to procedures.

  • Good general health (can lift/handle items in the collection).

  • Strong inter-personal and intra-personal skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Time management skills.
