Brockhill Helpers for Resident Days Out

At Brockhill we like to regularly take our tenants out for trips and adventures! This can include going to local garden centres, hitting the shops, attending a museum or maybe a spot of lunch somewhere. We travel all around Surrey and access these places via Bustler. We are looking for some volunteers who might be able to attend these events and help our less mobile tenants by pushing them in a wheelchair. Depending on the particular outing we can be out from 2 hours to half a day. We are still taking tentative steps out of Lockdown but in terms of frequency of outings we are currently at once to twice a month but this will increase in the future.

  1. Must have oodles of patience and a friendly polite manner.

  2. Confident to chat to tenants and make conversation.
  3. Able to drive to the outing as sometimes there is not always space on the Bustler from staff.

  4. Happy to complete a DBS check.
  5. Comfortable being on your feet and pushing someone in a wheelchair
