Community Speed Watch

The Town-LAT CSWV’s contribute to community road safety activities by participating in the Sussex Safer Roads Partnership, which includes Sussex Police, West Sussex Fire & Rescue Service and West Sussex County Council. Volunteers assist with Operation Crackdown’s educational programme of speed monitoring at pre-selected locations to reduce the number of drivers exceeding the local speed limits..

The Town-LAT CSW Coordinator is seeking volunteers to increase the number of CSW Operators who will assist the Police and West Sussex County Council by monitoring traffic speed at pre-designated road locations in East Grinstead.

Skills

The Police and the CSW Coordinator provide both On-line and Roadside training sessions.
