Radio Presenter

The Mid Downs Hospital Radio station is a registered charity run by an enthusiastic, dedicated team of unpaid volunteers. You can listen to us in The Princess Royal Hospital on your Hospedia bedside unit or on speakers throughout the hospital.

We seek volunteers willing to train as radio presenters, including learning about presenting and the technical side of the mixing desk. Once training is completed, and if a satisfactory assessment is made, volunteers will be allocated a show slot which they will be expected to cover.

Volunteers are charged an initial £25 membership fee (going down to £20 for over 60s) to cover running costs and training.

No specific skills are required, although an interest in music is an advantage as is a sense of humour and the ability to chat. They must also be reliable.
