S.E.Lions is a Swimming Club for Adults with Learning Disabilities. The pool is divided up to accommodate good swimmers who take up 3 lanes doing various strokes, some who just like to swim at their own pace, and non-swimmers in the shallow end. Our Swimming Sessions at Abbs Cross are from 12:45 - 14:03 every Saturday.
We need 'spotters' to stand on the side of the pool, to alert of any possible danger, and helpers in the water to assist with non-swimmers.
The Swimming Club has been established almost 50 years, has about 30 members, but we need new volunteers to ensure that the Swimming Club continues into the future, for the benefit of our learning disability members.
