Richard House Children's Hospice require retail assistants to help the shop manager in the day to day running of the shop.
Duties can include: -
Preparing donated goods for sale, which can include ironing, steaming, sizing, cubing and tagging.
Assist with window dressings and displays.
Assisting customers
General House-keeping and cleaning.
Operating the cash register.
Processing Gift Aid donations
Respond to telephone enquiries
You will gain valuable work experience for inclusion in your C.V.
We are looking for individuals with good communication skills, polite and confident manner, who has a keen eye for detail and a positive team attitude.
You will be provided with a friendly and supportive environment and will be given a full induction including Health and Safety training.
If you are 16 years of age and over then this role could be the start of your volunteering journey.
We operate on a flexible shift basis, with a shift usually lasting about 4 hours or as agreed with the shop manager.
At least one shift per week will be ideal to keep your skills up to date.
You will need 2 references to be able to get training on using the till and will take part in a trial day.
