Maldon and District CVS in partnership with the Moat Foundation are looking for volunteer Digital Buddies
Digital Buddies will help people to get online and increase confidence in their digital skills through one-to-one support to adults. Each individual will be supported to identify what that want to learn from help with basic digital skills to staying safe online, connecting with people and services and much more. This may include how to use a computer, tablet, smart phone or similar digital device.
This is an exciting and rewarding role that helps people to experience the many benefits of the internet and digital technology and feel more confident online.
Digital buddies will be given training on being a Digital Tutor and have access to a range of online resources to help people with their learning.
Digital Buddies will be able to train to support friends, families and neighbours in an informal way or can become part of a formal IT Drop in. These are currently hosted at the Moat hub in Maldon with more sessions planned across the district.
No qualifications are needed but Digital Buddies should have a good level of computer skills and knowledge, patience, an enthusiasm for helping others and a positive attitude.Register your interest
