Breast feeding Peer Supporter

Provide a regular support group to all breastfeeding mums, offering the benefits of peer support and reduced isolation.

Promote breastfeeding in a friendly and sensitive manner, in accordance with the UNICEF Baby Friendly Initiative.

Be enthusiastic about breastfeeding and have a positive attitude towards breastfeeding.

Provide a listening ear to breastfeeding mums (referring to a member of staff where necessary).


This role would suit a mum of any age, who has breastfed, or is breastfeeding, and wants to support other mothers to have a positive breastfeeding experience. 

The aim of the role is to promote, protect and sustain breastfeeding in their local area, by providing support and guidance to all breastfeeding mothers.
