Young Persons Mentor

To support young people between the ages of 14 - 17 to work towards a qualification in

Health & Safety and Carpentry skills. The young people are referred to the Rainbow

workshop by schools and other organisations having been identified as at risk of

disengaging with education and potentially at risk of anti social or offending behaviour.

Skills

Listening skills are key to this role, as is patience and an understanding of the young

persons situation.

Woodworking or general DIY skills would be a great asset, but not necessarily needed

for this role.

Attention to detail and initiative

Good communication skills

Work flexibly as part of a team
